I want to blow up my car.
I have replaced every seal on the engine and it still leaks oil. I am not a moron I have done all the searching and crap to try to find out where it is leaking and it still leaks oil.
ARGHHH!

If it keeps leaking oil, just stop putting oil in it.
Problem solved.

Crack in the block or head? Some of the tiny cracks can be very hard to find.

Do you live in the rust belt? Leaky seals have an advantage in the rust belt. Automatic undercoating dispenser!

Fill the nearly empty gas tank with ammonium nitrate. Then shoot it with tracers.

I could tactically acquire some, but I’m in my two week mark and I don’t wanna cause any trouble ;)

What could I put instead? Really small ceramic bearings? I am guessing like a quart would do?

Water and sodium silicate.
Worked well in the Cash for Clunkers program.

If you happen to come across some incendiary grenades...

Can you see where it’s going? I’ve seen some ingenious solutions for triangulating leaks if it ultimately ends up on the driveway. If it’s just blowing out the exhaust or into the coolant, you have other issues.

K8 or KL swap?

I think I would like a more slow satisfying death. Like a crate full of frag grenades I could blow it up in stages.

not out exhaust or coolant.
Its not the oil pan seals, CAS o ring, valve cover, front crank seal, rear main seal, cam seals, oil cooler o ring, or oil pan drain plug. I have literally replaced every gasket and seal even the head gasket a year or two ago due to unrelated problems. this motor better last like 100k miles more.
only thing left is the pressure sender. I need to build my altar to the gods of mechanics and pray and sacrifice to them that it’s the oil pressure sender.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from the Motor Medics (under the hood podcast) and The Automotive Hour podcast, it’s that just because you bought a new part doesn’t mean it works (or that you were sent the correct part).

yeah there is always that but I am really methodical in working and I think I would notice most of the time if something doesn’t fit. But there is always the chance something just doesn’t work if its new. I lose sleep over that kind of crap especially since replacing oil pan seals means pulling the engine and now it’s snowing season.

It’ll pay for itself with all the oil you won’t have to refill.

The perscription thing is a good idea! As a bonus, it’s a one time cost, so your insurance provider will also save money in the long term! Everybody wins!
